A SHOCKING video shows a security guard BEGGING bystanders to help him stop an alleged shoplifter outside a branch of Primark last week.
The guard can be seen forcibly holding the woman to stop her from fleeing as they end up wrestling on the pavement of a busy London high street.
The man pleads with a filming pedestrian to help him restrain the woman and “call the police” – but the bystander simply laughs in his face and shows off his KFC meal to the camera.
The incident took place outside the Primark store in Peckham, south London last week and the video has been since shared across social media.
A spokesman for the firm said the security guard was from a nearby shop, and not the clothing store.
In the video, a woman off camera can be heard screaming at the security guard and telling him to: “Leave her alone! She’s just a woman! What has she done to you?”
But the pair continue to tussle as the man begs onlookers to call the cops.
As the security guard pleads with the passers-by, the alleged shoplifter briefly escapes his grip and palms him in the face.
But then he gets hold of her once again and drags her across the street, while shocked onlookers watch the scuffle.
The man filming asks the security guard: “Is she a thief? What she thieve?”
The security guard nods in response and tells the filming onlooker that: “There is another one in the store my friend - can you please help me?"
But the male bystander sneers at the man and replies “Me can’t help you no!”
He then shows his KFC takeaway meal to the camera and mockingly says “See my food! See my food order”.
Another woman can be heard cackling at the cameraman’s cheeky response.
As an oncoming bus passes the brawl, the security guard and the woman dangerously fight and fall on to the pavement of the busy high street.
The pair wrestle briefly on the ground before the security guard picks her up again as the clip ends.
Many commenting on the video condemned the civilians and the laughing cameraman – whilst a few social media users said the security guard was too aggressive in his approach.
One wrote: "Nobody wants to help; he even said plz [sic]" whilst @kashman_ wrote "Wasteman camera man".
However, @robertwells1986 argued: "She robs somebody but yeah ok leave her alone".
