Spice Girls tickets for Cardiff show flogged on resale sites for £1080 – 12 times their original value – hours after being released
SPICE Girls reunion tickets are being flogged for nearly 12 times their value on resale sites just hours after being released.
The hotly-anticipated tickets in Cardiff went on sale today at 9.30am as Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Mel B added an extra date to the tour.
Viagogo.co.uk – an online market place for ticket resale - is currently flogging premium seated tickets in for £1,081 - almost 12 times the face value of £93.50.
And premium Spice Circle standing tickets will set fans back £354 compared to the £196 face value cost.
On StubHub.com, tickets for seating are being flogged for £484.79 - five times the £93.50 face value.
While the same website is flogging seats in the upper tier for £430.20, which is also five times the face value cost.
It comes after Sun Online revealed some resale sites for selling tickets to see the Spice Girls for up to £2,000 just minutes after they were released on November 10.
Viagogo.com was flogging a VIP ticket to the show for £2,083 instead of the £295, which is what it costs at face value.
While seating tickets, which ranged from £60- £135 originally are selling from £183 - £1,786.
Spice Girls fans were left frustrated as they struggled to get tickets and noticed the extravagant prices on resale sites.
One upset punter wrote: “Well I sincerely hope @spicegirls bring out more dates because that was a joke. And £169 for a £77 standing ticket already on a resale site ??? #spicegirls.”
Another ranted: “When is something gonna be done about ticket touts? like @viagogo ? Its disgusting that so many fans are missing out #SpiceWorld2019 #spicegirls.”
While someone else moaned: “Trying to get spice girls tickets for the past hour and a half, my friend has been in the queue since 7am? How have we not got tickets?
