Clarke was keen to open up about his struggles with depression in support of The Movember Foundation who work hard to help stop men dying too young from suicide.

Speaking candidly about a depressive episode he experienced in 2017 Clarke said "I was walking around Liverpool thinking that I deserved to be dead, thinking that I didn't deserve to be here."

Just like Movember, Clarke recognises that men struggle to express their feelings when it comes to mental health.  "When guys are going through tough times there's often that thought like nobody wants to listen, nobody wants to help me."

Movember are working hard to help stop men dying too young from Prostate and Testicular Cancer and Suicide, and you can help by donating or raising money.
