Friday and the weekend will be cloudy but dry, with the north getting the most amount of sunshine.
There will be overnight mist and fog patches, which could be slow to clear, while western Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland could experience some wet and windy weather.
The next week will see little change to the weather as conditions settle, but the far west and northwest could experience some patchy rain.
Expect a general drop in temperature, with an increasing risk of night frost.
