David Schwimmer posts hilarious spoof video after Blackpool beer ‘thief’ lookalike is dead ringer of Ross from Friends
The Friends actor shared the amazing clip after his doppelganger was seen nicking a crate of beer in Lancashire
DAVID Schwimmer delighted fans with an amazing spoof video recreating CCTV footage of a lookalike shoplifting suspect pinching beer.
The Friends star was responding to a joke made by Blackpool Police after they put out an appeal for information on a man who is a dead ringer for Schwimmer.
The double of David Schwimmer was seen clutching a crate of beer beers as he stared down a security camera.
Police released the CCTV image, writing: "Do you recognise this man? We want to speak to him in relation to a theft at a Blackpool restaurant on the 20th September."

But when people responded suggesting that it was in fact Schwimmer, the actor decided to clear things up.
Along with his spoof clip he said: "Officers, I swear it wasn't me. As you can see, I was in New York.
"To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation."

Blackpool Police's original appeal for information went viral because of the strong resemblance to the Friends star - with many joking: "His job's a joke, he’s broke, his love life’s DOA, no wonder he’s resorted to stealing?!"
Blackpool Police were also quick to jump on the bandwagon, later confirming: "Thank you to everyone for your speedy responses.
"We have investigated this matter thoroughly and have confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America on this date.
"We're so sorry it has to be this way".

John Jones commented: "You would think someone would be there for him when the rain starts to fall."
