Seven people were seriously hurt in the incident at Repubblica Metro station ahead of the CSKA Moscow vs Roma Champions League match
A FOOTBALL fan has had their foot partially amputated after an “apocalyptic” subway escalator collapse last night, according to reports.
Horrifying footage shows the moment dozens were injured after the malfunction at Rome's Repubblica underground station.

One person told the paper: "I just witnessed a scene from the apocalypse."
Witnesses quoted by police said Russian fans were "singing and jumping" on the escalator shortly before it collapsed.
Terrifying screams can be heard in the footage as scores of people were sent hurtling towards the bottom.
Some passengers were pulled to safety while others scrambled over the central reservation but many were crushed in the mechanism.
Reports on the number of people injured vary, with the Russian embassy in Italy saying up to 30 were hurt, with 17 taken to hospital.
The local prefect's office put the number of injured at 20, whereas La Repubblica said 24 were hurt – seven seriously.
More than 100 firefighters have been scrambled to the station.
Rome provincial fire chief Giampietro Boscaino said: "The scene that we found was people piled up at the bottom of the escalator.
"People one on the top of the other looking for help.
"They had various injuries caused by the escalator that was twisted, therefore serious injuries."
A police spokesman told Russian news agency RIA: "A group of CSKA fans were going down into the station.
"At that moment the escalator collapsed."
One photo shared on social media appears to show blood and broken metal at the bottom of the malfunctioning escalator.
ANSA news agency quoted city transport agency officials as saying maintenance is carried out on metro system escalators every month.
Meanwhile, a Russian fan was stabbed during clashes between supporters near the Stadio Olimpico.
Two other travelling Moscow fans were also said to have been hurt in the melee.
Police were deployed with water cannons to break up the violence.
