Police have now become "increasingly concerned" for the welfare of the 46-year-old.

Chief Inspector Tony Dyer said: "She has not been in contact with her family and her car was left at her home address. It is possible Sarah left home on foot or received a lift from somebody.

"My officers are conducting ongoing enquiries with residents and businesses which includes the examination of CCTV footage.

"The search continued in the area over the weekend and I am very grateful to members of the local community gave up their time to assist us.

"I would urge anybody with information that may help to contact us. If you think you may have seen her but are not sure, please do not hesitate to call the appeal line and let us know."

These renewed concerns have come as hundreds of volunteers have joined the search for missing mum Sarah, who has not used her phone or bank card since she vanished 13 days ago.

Around 200 locals armed with rakes and sticks scoured woodland close to the beautician's home over the weekend as fears mount for her safety.

A force spokesman said: "Members of the local community approached Kent Police to ask if they could help with the search for Sarah Wellgreen.

"As a result this weekend a number of residents have assisted police in their search efforts."

Sarah was last seen on October 9 after she left her home in New Ash Green, Kent, without her car.

One resident helping out on the search, who asked not to be named, said: "Everyone is so shocked that Sarah just vanished. As a community we wanted to help out, so we approached Kent Police and they were happy for us to help out.

"There were about 100 people throughout Saturday and also about 100 today. Police seem to be focusing on woodland area."

Sarah is described as white, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, of a medium build and has green eyes and straight brown hair.

It came as her dad, Antony, revealed she has not used her phone or bank card since she went missing.

The 67-year-old said he was devastated that cops have found no trace of her movements since then.

He said: "I just hope to god she's alive. We pray for her.

They also arrested a man in his 30s on Tuesday but released him pending further inquiries on Friday.

Sarah lives with her three youngest children - a boy of 12 and twin son and daughter aged six - and her ex-partner Ben Lacomba, 38.

Her eldest son Lewis Burdett, 22, from an earlier relationship, wrote on Facebook: “We’re incredibly worried and miss her so much it hurts."
