Yob broke fast food worker’s jaw after moaning his fried chicken ‘took too long’ to arrive
Manaf Alahassan, 27, was jailed for eight months after brutally attacking an employee at Flame & Fried in Croydon, south London
A THUG who viciously attacked a fast food worker after complaining that his fried chicken took too long to arrive has been jailed.
Manaf Alahassan, 27, picked up a salt shaker and hurled it at a 21-year-old employee of the Flame & Fried in Croydon, south London, in October last year.
The attacker and his accomplice, 20-year-old Aaron Johnson, then repeatedly punched the worker in the face, breaking his jaw, with Alahassan pulling out a knife and threatening him.
The victim was rushed to hospital to be treated for his terrible facial injuries shortly after the attack as cops hunted for the perpetrators.
Luckily the pair were nabbed soon after the beating when a member of the public showed video footage of the attack filmed on a mobile phone to Metropolitan Police officers.
Alahassan was jailed exactly one year on from the attack at Croydon Crown Court on Friday.
He was slapped with eight months' imprisonment after being found guilty of assault by beating and possession of an offensive weapon.
A Met spokesperson said: "Police were called just before 5pm to the chicken shop on Church Street to reports of a disturbance.
"Officers attended and were informed by members of staff that two men had entered the shop; they became aggressive over the length of time it took for the food they ordered to be ready.
"This resulted in one staff member, a 21-year-old man, being punched in the face and assaulted.
"Mobile phone footage of the incident was captured by a member of the public, and helped to match the clothing worn by the attackers with the clothing the arrested men were wearing."

Detective Constable Andy Garland, of Croydon CID, said: “Attacks like this on people in their place of work are totally unacceptable.
"Alahassan and another man who later admitted to his part in the attack were located shortly after the incident by officers who conducted an area search, and both men are now in jail, all for a few seconds of sudden unnecessary violence.”
Alahassan's accomplice, Aaron Johnson, was jailed for three years in April this year after being convicted of GBH.
