BRIT IS executioner Jihadi Sid is thought to have died in a drone strike, it has emerged.

Officials believe the fiend, real name Siddhartha Dhar, was killed alongside his wife and five children on the battlefield in Syria last year.

Dhar, 35, became the barbaric terror group’s vile poster boy in 2015 after a US drone strike vaporised another Brit, Mohammed Emwazi, dubbed Jihadi John.

Ten minutes of sickening footage emerged in January 2016 showing Dhar leading the execution of five shackled men accused of being spies for the UK.

He was seen threatening then Prime Minister David Cameron, branding him an “imbecile”, before coldly shooting a terrified prisoner in the back of the head.

Dhar was a former henchman of hate preacher Anjem Choudary, released from prison yesterday.

Last night, security sources said it was impossible to have certainty of Dhar’s death without having UK boots on the ground.

But one source told The Sun: “British nationals have been consistently warned against travelling to Syria. It is a dangerous place.”

News of Dhar’s death comes after months of silence about his whereabouts. Sources now say he may have died with wife Aisha and children in a drone strike aimed at fanatics as their IS capital Raqqa fell.

Dhar, a former bouncy castle salesman from Walthamstow, East London, was born in the capital and grew up in a Hindu family.

Pals, who knew him as Sid, say he drank booze and wanted to become a dentist. But he converted to Islam in his teens and was lured into extremism by Choudary’s banned Al-Muhajiroun group, soon becoming one of his closest aides.

He renamed himself Abu Rumaysah, openly defended IS and was arrested with Choudary and others on terror charges, only to skip bail.

Dhar, his pregnant wife and four children all managed to flee undetected by coach to Paris and on to Syria in 2014.

It later emerged police had only ever written to him to ask him to hand in his passport.

The security blunder came despite Dhar already being one of the UK’s most notorious fanatics.

Once in Syria, images emerged of him cradling his newborn fifth child, a son, while brandishing a rifle.

In 2016 a female Yazidi refugee aged just 17 said she had been kidnapped and trafficked by Dhar.

The woman claimed Dhar also took refugee girls to rape himself.

The Sun Says

THE world is a better place without Siddhartha Dhar, rapist and IS executioner.
The real tragedy of his reported vaporisation by drone strike being that it also killed the children he put in harm’s way.
This wicked extremist is yet another reminder of the terrible evil his mentor Anjem Choudary has inflicted on the world. And now Choudary is free again.
For years he was dismissed as an irrelevance. In fact he was linked to many of the major recent terror plots in Britain.
The restrictions on him are justifiably tight. But the fact that he is out at all after just two years of a 5½-year sentence is a sick joke. Why was a man so exceptionally dangerous given such a derisory term, then freed early?
Our terror laws are not fit for purpose.
