'SHE'S BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH'

Donald Trump praises ‘total winner’ Princess Eugenie after wedding

DONALD Trump today congratulated Princess Eugenie on her Royal Wedding in a tweet that left some social media users baffled.

President Trump tweeted his message to the Pricness of York and husband Jack Brooksbank earlier this morning, but somehow got his days mixed up.

In a bizarre post, he wrote: "Princess Eugenie of York was a truly beautiful bride yesterday.

"She has been through so much, and has come out a total winner!"

The timing of the American leader's tweet suggested that the wedding at Windsor Castle took place on Saturday, when it actually happened on Friday.

Social media users were quick to point out the President's error in replies to his pronouncement.

Meanwhile, people were also trying to work out what Princess Eugenie had "been through" that Trump referred to in his baffling message.

Many believe that it's a reference to the scoliosis that she had treated as a child.

The Queen's grand-daughter was diagnosed with the condition aged 12, in which the spine twists and curves to the side and requires correcting rods to be placed into the body surgically to straighten it out.

Princess Eugenie's surgeon Jan Lehovsky was actually among the 800 guests watching her tie the knot in St George’s Chapel — where Prince Harry and Meghan got married in May.

But some people online didn't think that the the Princess of York, believed to be worth around £3.6million, had really "been through so much" despite her back surgery.

Twitter user @KittyPing wrote: "Well that is a shame but I'm not sure it qualifies as 'so much' considering she'll have had the very best medical care available.

"I'm sure [Trump] will be aware of so many more, much worse hardships inflicted on regular people."
