Moment thug punches pub-goer out of his seat in brutal random attack in smoking area
Derbyshire Police are now hunting the thug who attacked the unnamed 45-year-old victim at The Association bar in Ripley, Derbyshire
A SHOCKING video shows the moment a pub-goer was punched out of his seat by a thug in an unprovoked attack.
The 45-year-old bloke can be seen sitting alone in the smoking area of the Association Bar in Ripley, Derbys., when he is viciously assaulted in front of other drinkers.
A short clip taken from CCTV shows the lout clatter the man in the face with such force that he falls out of his seat.
And then just moments after the attack, a young woman can be seen strolling past with a drink in her hand as the victim lies in horrendous agony on the ground.
Social media users have expressed their fury at the senseless attack.
Writing on Facebook, Anita Dadge said: "Why did only one person go to his assistance after the event."
Helen stone wrote: "Disgusting animal."
Bec Avery added: "Gutless."
Derbyshire Police are hunting for the thug who attacked the man at 2.30am on September 30.
A police spokesperson said: "The victim was sitting in the smoking area of the bar, in Church Street, when he was approached by a man who punched him in the head causing him to fall to the floor.
"The incident is believed to have happened at around 2.30am and is captured in the accompanying CCTV footage.
"Officers have also released three images of a man they would like to speak to about the incident."
