Camilla Parker Bowles is snubbing Princess Eugenie’s wedding to visit a school harvest festival near her Scottish home
CAMILLA is snubbing Princess Eugenie’s wedding — to attend a school harvest festival instead.
The Duchess of Cornwall will be the only senior royal missing as Eugenie, 28, marries Jack Brooksbank, 32, at Windsor Castle on Friday.
Prince Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson hoped to persuade her to go to their daughter’s big day — scheduled eight months ago.
But Camilla, 71, is committed to attending the school event near her Scottish home Birkhall, believed to have been set up earlier.
A source said: “When this date was proposed, she said that regrettably she couldn’t come.
“The family understood, particularly Eugenie, and were fine about it owing to her previous commitment. Camilla didn’t want to let anyone down.”
850-GUEST LIST TO TOP HARRY'S
EUGENIE and Jack have invited 850 guests — more than the 600 who came to see Harry wed Meghan.
Prince George, five, will be a pageboy, with Princess Charlotte, three, and Robbie Williams’ daughter Teddy, six, pagegirls.
Archbishop of York John Sentamu has written a prayer for the bride and groom.
Classical singer Andrea Bocelli and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will provide music.
The Grenadier Guards, whose Colonel is Prince Andrew, will line the chapel steps as the newlyweds leave.
Another source said: “Eugenie and her parents wanted her to change her mind. But Camilla said she had a prior commitment and couldn’t.”
The Queen, 92, Prince Philip, 97, and other Royals are due at St George’s Chapel and a castle reception.
Around 400 guests will go on to an evening reception at Andrew’s Royal Lodge home.
Big-name attendees will include George and Amal Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham, Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Field as well as artist Tracey Emin.
Ex-waiter Jack is a brand ambassador for George’s Casamigos tequila firm.
Dean of Windsor David Conner will officiate at the ceremony, being shown on ITV’s This Morning.
A Royal source said last night: “With events like Eugenie’s or Harry’s wedding, proposed dates are circulated so all senior Royals can find one that all can attend.
“Often, if there are engagements in the calendar, a secretary will move them.”
Harry switched an appointment at short notice for Prince George’s 2013 christening.
FERGIE INVITES PRET PAIR
THE family of the teen who died after eating a Pret A Manger baguette on a plane are going to the Royal wedding.
Tanya and Nadim Ednan-Laperouse, whose daughter Natasha, 15, had a food allergy, were invited with son Alex, 15, after meeting Eugenie’s mum by chance.
Sarah Ferguson, 58, comforted the grieving pair as they shared a flight back to Britain after Natasha’s death.
Fergie went to Natasha’s funeral in 2016, sends Christmas and birthday cards and says she only wishes Eugenie and Natasha, pictured, could had met.
A friend said Sarah had been a comfort and the family had been “delighted to receive and accept an invitation”.
