Seth died six days later from a brain injury.

Former trucker Vickers, stripped of his licence in 2007 and 2014 after heart seizures, admitted death by careless driving.

He got a suspended jail term and three-year road ban at Nottingham crown court.

Judge Rosalind Coe said custody would affect his health.

Deanna Williams, a pal of Seth’s family, said: "He should have gone to prison.

"That is a travesty of justice.

“It puts no value on life.”
