Lee Carl Wright, 34, brutally attacked PCs Anne Bloomfield and David Hikin in a house in Eastwood, Notts
A SHOCKING video shows a female police being smashed in the face with a champagne bottle which fractured her skull and broke her eye socket.
Lee Carl Wright, 34, attacked PC Anne Bloomfield at a house in Eastwood, Notts, as he was being led out of the front door to a police car in July.
PC David Hikin was also kicked in the stomach and suffered an arm injury as Wright attempted to break loose of the cops' grasp.
The officers had gone to the house after a worried member of the public spotted a man in his back garden.
PCs Bloomfield and Hikin found Wright on the roof of a garage in the area of the complaint, which can be seen at the start of the clip.
But to get him into a police car, they had to walk him through the inside of a house which is where Wright became violent.
Anne Bloomfield's shocking injuries after the 'disgusting attack'He repeatedly hit Bloomfield with the glass bottle, cutting her forehead open and knocking her to the ground.
Hikin stepped in and used CS Spray on Wright, who was still armed with the broken bottle, which gave Bloomfield the chance to get out of the house.
In the appalling bodycam footage, Wright can be heard saying "I'm not going out there" before he launched into the attack.
He then fled into the garden before climbing on to a flat roof.
Wright also threatened to throw a coping stone at officers who had arrived on the scene to assist PCs Bloomfield and Hikin.
He was eventually talked down and arrested.
Wright was sentenced to two years and eight months at Nottinghamshire Crown Court on Friday.
He pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
A concurrent 12 month prison sentence will also be served for the assault of PC Hikin.
Dave Keen, chairman of the Nottinghamshire Police Federation, was appalled by Wright's actions.
He told : "I note the sentence given to Wright for this disgusting assault on one of my members. Such assaults are never acceptable in a civilised society.
"We are disappointed with the gravity of charge he faced and do not believe it truly reflects the events of this incident.
"PC Bloomfield in particular faced extraordinary violence. That says an awful lot about Wright and his character."
