New York stabbing – what happened at the Queens day care centre and has anyone been taken into custody?
A WOMAN has been arrested after stabbing three BABIES and two adults at a nursery in New York City.

What happened at the Queens day care centre?
The incident happened at 161st Street in the Flushing area of Queens at around 3.30am on September 21 at a reportedly unlicensed day care centre.
A spokesman for the force told the Sun Online the female suspect had multiple self-inflicted knife wounds.
The attacker is in a stable condition, assistant chief of patrol for the NYPD said at a news conference.
Police did not have any details on a possible motive.
Three baby girls were stabbed in the attack, reported.
Of the babies stabbed, there were two girls and one boy, police said.
All three were hospitalised and listed in serious but stable condition.
Prosecutors said they were aged 13 days, 22 days and 33 days.

The woman also stabbed a 31-year-old man, believed to be the father of one of the children, and a woman at the overnight nursery in Flushing, known as Mei Xin Care.
A bloody kitchen knife and meat cleaver were found at the scene, police said.
Prosecutors said the woman who was stabbed is 63. Police earlier described both adult victims as being in their 30s.
Nine babies were in the house at the time and other parents were in the nursery as well.
It is believed the home serves as an informal neighbourhood nursery.
New York police Assistant Chief Juanita Holmes said they had seen some paperwork to indicate it was a day care centre.
It was not listed as a licensed or regulated child care programme with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, according to a spokeswoman for the agency, has reported.
Both of the adults who were stabbed live at the home, a police spokesman said, adding that the assailant worked at the nursery but did not live there.

Who is the suspect?
Authorities identified the alleged attacker as Yu Fen Wang, 52, who works at the facility, and say she was taken into custody after a meat cleaver and knife were recovered from the scene.
She was found unconscious in the basement of the home after trying to slash her left wrist, police said.
Brown said the alleged attacker was in custody at a nearby hospital undergoing a psychiatric evaluation as well as treatment for what appeared to be self-inflicted wounds.
What have officials said?
In a statement, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said: "We pray that all of the victims will be fine and will survive these injuries.
“We are hoping these young babies - small and so very fragile - are also strong enough to overcome this horrible act of senseless violence.”
