Where did the shooting take place in Islington?

Witnesses reported seeing people running from Essex Road just after 9.30pm after hearing several gunshots.

Images on social media appeared to show a bullet hole in the window of a bathroom shop, while a bus was also damaged in the incident.

One Twitter user said: "From the 38 bus, we heard gunshots and saw people running from Essex Road N1 just after 9:30. Stay safe Islington."

Another said they heard "six shots fired".

Was anyone killed? How many have been injured?

No deaths have been reported after the shooting in Islington on September 20.

Two people were left injured after a gunman opened fire.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "A 34-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man were found suffering from minor injuries.

"The woman has been taken to hospital for treatment to a hand injury believed to have been caused by shattered glass.

"The man was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service."

Who was the shooter?

Cops confirmed the unknown suspect fled on foot.

No-one has been arrested in connection with the incident, which comes amid concerns over a wave of violent crime in the capital.

Police said: ";There have been no arrests and enquiries continue."
