A BRITISH expat was jailed in absentia in Dubai today for assaulting a drunk Swedish man sleeping on a hotel sofa.
Asa Hutchinson, 22, who is now back home in the UK, was slapped with a three-month sentence over an attack she claimed only witnessed.

ANCIENT SPHINX UNCOVERED IN EGYPT
EGYPTIAN archaeologists have uncovered a 2,000-year-old sandstone sphinx by complete chance while draining water from a temple.
The antiquities ministry said the ancient statue was found during works at the Kom Ombo temple in the southern city of Aswan.
