Only Fools and Horses ‘millionaire’ watch goes on sale for just £15,000
THE pocket watch that finally made millionaires of Del Boy and Rodney in Only Fools and Horses is going up for auction — at a knockdown £15,000.
TV’s Trotter brothers hit the jackpot in the episode Time On Our Hands after finding the watch and flogging it for £6.2million.
It was one of the long-running comedy’s most-watched shows, drawing 24million viewers in 1996.
The antique dealer dad of Del’s girlfriend Raquel had seen the timepiece sitting on a hob in the market trader’s garage.
Del, played by Sir David Jason, and Rodders — Nicholas Lyndhurst — were seen fainting with shock as it fetched the huge sum.
But the 3in by 4in so-called Harrison Lesser Watch never actually worked and was just a BBC prop.
Three were made — and one is now due to go under the hammer at Aston’s Auctioneers in Dudley, West Mids, on September 20.
It has been verified by Perry Aghajanoff, president of the Only Fools and Horses Appreciation Society, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Steve Kennedy, of Aston’s, said: “There is a huge market for anything to do with Only Fools and Horses. People love the programme and such an iconic item is sure to create a huge buzz.
“We’ve given it an estimate of up to £15,000, but it could get well above that.

“It’s in pristine condition and has been perfectly cared for by a true lover of the show.”
In 2007, one of the other two watches was stolen from the Only Fools museum in Diss, Norfolk.
