DRUG MYSTERY

Mac Miller’s ‘overdose’ death raises suspicions after cops ‘find his house scrubbed clean of drugs’

BIG questions are being asked over the suspected overdose death of tragic rapper Mac Miller after cops found his home was virtually scrubbed clean of drugs.

Officers called to the San Fernando Valley property say they only found a "tiny amount" of white powder when they scoured it for clues following his shock death.

They now believe the Los Angeles property was virtually "swept clean" meaning there was no evidence of any kind of drug use,

Cops are sure the Self Care star overdosed and sources inside the force just don't believe he cleaned the house of pill bottles, illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia on the off chance he might die.

The rapper was last seen alive on Thursday night and had people around his house that evening and also on Friday morning when emergency services were called to the scene.

Nobody has yet stepped forward to say they made the 911 call, but it's been reported one of Mac's male friends begged paramedics for help saying the star was in cardiac arrest.

The 26-year-old was pronounced dead in his bedroom and a coroner's van arrived a short while later to take his body away.

Toxicology tests have been requested, but Mac's official cause of death cannot be confirmed until they come back.

Last week we reported how Miller said "overdosing is just not cool" in a  2016 documentary film called Stopped Making Excuses.

He said: "I'd rather be the corny white rapper than the drugged-out mess who can't even get out of his house.

"Overdosing is just not cool. You don't go down in history because you overdose. You just die."

However, he was also notorious for be open about his own drug use - once saying he "hated being sober."

"I'm always like, if someone's like 'you wanna try this?' I'm just like 'yeah, sure'. And then it just kinda f**ks you up if you've got a bunch of money because if you try a drug, you like it, you can buy a lot of it," he told Fader magazine in 2016.

"At one point weed didn't relax me from everything, it made me more paranoid about all this s**t happening. So I needed to get a drug that was a little more numbing, if you will, and less, like, in your head.

"I think that's what sparked me doing other drugs, because I hate being sober. I wanted a drug to do."

The rapper - who split with singer Ariana Grande back in May - was reportedly found around lunchtime on Friday.

The pair had dated for nearly two years and following their split said they would remain "the closest of friends".

Mac is reported to have had recent problems with substance abuse after he crashed his car in May and was arrested.

TMZ reports he fled the scene but cops say he later confessed at his home. After his arrest Ariana tweeted: "Pls take care of yourself."

"Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time.”

In a final interview the star spoke about his struggle with anxiety and depression.

Mac said:  "I really wouldn't want just happiness. And I don't want just sadness either. I don't want to be depressed. I want to be able to have good days and bad days.

"I can't imagine not waking up sometimes and being like, 'I don't feel like doing s**t.' And then having days where you wake up and you feel on top of the world."

Malcolm James McCormick was born January 19, 1992, but was best known by his stage name, Mac Miller.

He also went under several other aliases, including Larry Fisherman, Delusional Thomas, Larry Lovestein and The Velvet Revival.
