Boris Johnson’s former mistress reveals how MP moaned ‘men shouldn’t be confined to one woman’
BORIS Johnson’s former mistress claims he is a “loner” who moaned “men shouldn't be confined to one woman.”
Petronella Wyatt, 50, who had a four-year affair with BoJo, 54, has offered a glimpse into the former Foreign Secretary's views on monogamy.
Father-of-five Johnson’s personal life has come under scrutiny once again after his long suffering wife Marina Wheeler booted him out of the family home amid more cheating claims, sources told The Sun.
The estranged couple subsequently revealed they had filed for divorce after 25 years of marriage.
Wyatt, who had abortion while in a relationship with Boris, previously wrote about how the larger-than-life ladies’ man is “inordinately proud of his Turkish ancestry.”
The daughter of Lord Woodrow Hyatt, who fell for Johnson while they worked together at The Spectator magazine, revealed his “views on matters such as monogamy are decidedly Eastern”.
During their illicit affair, the author claims the MP said: “I find it genuinely unreasonable that men should be confined to one woman.”
Wyatt also wrote that Boris admitted to her that he was “a bit of a loner” with few real friends.
She said: “Like many loners, he has a compensating need to be liked.”
Johnson’s relationship with Wyatt cost him his job as shadow arts minister and party vice-chairman in 2004.
The 54-year-old had initially denied the affair claims branding them “an inverted pyramid of piffle.”
His wife Marina Wheeler tossed him out of their marital home in Islington, North London, as a result of the scandal before eventually took him back.
The pair married in 1993, after having an affair which caused the collapse of BoJo's first marriage to university sweetheart Allegra Mostyn-Owen.
Wyatt says that Johnson will do “anything do avoid an argument” which results in him lying to his loved ones.
Despite his inordinate success with women, she claims Boris is not vain and “regards himself as rather ugly” relying on his charm to seduce the opposite sex.
In 2006, The News of the World uncovered another of Johnson’s infidelities this time with journalist Anna Fazackerley, then aged 29.
Three years later, Boris fathered a love child with art consultant Helen Macintyre, then 39, while working as the Mayor of London.
When did Boris divorce Marina?
Boris and Marina announced that they had filed for divorce on September 7, 2018, following allegations that he cheated.
The estranged couple issued a statement the same day confirming their separation.
"Several months ago, after 25 years of marriage, we decided it was in our best interests to separate," the statement read.
"We have subsequently agreed to divorce and that process is under way.
"As friends we will continue to support our four children in the years ahead.
"We will not be commenting further".
