Martin Barrett and barmaid Lizzy Peeling run the Oak Inn in New Forest

Barmaid Lizzie Peeling, 24, an ex-showjumping groom, said: “She stood there as if wanting a pint. She had a rope collar, so I used that to push her out.

“She didn’t want to go, then got her bum stuck in the door, so I got her to do a three-point turn.”

The pony and two pals later hung around outside the Oak Inn in Lyndhurst, Hampshire.

It is in the New Forest, where 5,000 ponies roam free.
