Parents of ‘Jihadi Jack’ give thumbs up as they arrive at court for trial over sending money to son in Syria

THE parents of "Jihadi Jack" gave the thumbs up as they arrived at court this morning.
John Letts and Sally Lane are accused of sending money to their Muslim convert son after he joined Islamic State in Syria.
The 58 and 56-year-old allegedly sent their son, Jack, now 23, a total of £1,723 between September 2015 and January 2016.
The Brit reportedly went by the name Abu Mohammed and married an Iraqi woman with whom he has a son, Muhammed.
It is alleged that they had reasonable cause to suspect the money would or might be used for terrorist purposes.
The parents, from Oxford, have denied three charges of funding terrorism.
Their trial is being heard at the Old Bailey before Judge Nicholas Hilliard QC and is expected to go on for up to three weeks.
