Police hunt man after OAP sexually assaulted on drive minutes after man tried to bundle teen into car
The two incidents happened just three miles and 15 minute apart on Friday afternoon
POLICE are tracking down a man thought to be linked to a sex attack on a pensioner that happened just minutes after a teenager was almost shoved into a car in a botched kidnapping.
A male suspect is wanted over the assault on an 83-year-old woman on her driveway and the attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl.
The two incidents happened just three miles and 15 minute apart on Friday afternoon and were linked by detectives, who said the suspect had posed as council worker.
Today police said the man struck first in Slough, Berkshire.
A car driver stopped to ask the lone schoolgirl for directions and get her to input details into his sav nav.
He then tried to bundle her into his silver car, believed to be a ford Mondeo.
She screamed and used the car to lever herself away from the man's clutches and managed to get away on foot.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman added: "The offender pushed her into the road and then drove off towards Farnham Road."
"The victim was not injured as a result of the incident."
Just 15 minutes later a man approached the pensioner in nearby Stoke Poges and tried to get inside her house by saying he was from the council.
