A MAN was shot in West London last night as the carnage on the capital's streets continues.
The man, aged in his 40s, was rushed to hospital after the shooting on Thursday evening.
It is the third shooting in the capital in just four days.
The Metropolitan Police said they were called to reports of shots fired at 8.40pm.
A statement said: “A man, aged in his 40s, has gone to hospital.
“We await assessment of his condition.
“No arrest at this stage. Cordons in place at the scene."
It comes after CCTV footage emerged of a hooded thug opening fire in broad daylight near to Rayners Lane tube station.
The incident is thought to be related to an ongoing turf war between two rival drill gangs.
On August 20 three people were injured in a drive-by shooting outside Kingsbury tube station at about 9.45pm.
