Brit lads who stripped naked in front of shocked families at Rome’s World War 1 memorial are hunted by Italian cops

THIS is the moment two men said to be British tourists frolic and strip naked outside a famous Roman monument as pals dip their feet in the fountain.

The incident took place at the iconic Altare della Patria (Altar of the Fatherland) national monument in the Italian capital.

Police are searching for the culprits after a tour guide filmed their fountain frolic and nearly 40,000 saw the YouTube video in the first 24 hours of publication.

In the video footage, two men - reported as British by local media - are seen posing for photos in the fountain wearing only their briefs.

As summer sunshine pours on the Rome monument, several friends are positioned by the wall, dipping their feet into the water and taking photos of their semi-naked pals.

Numerous visitors walk past the giggling Brits as they continue to misbehave outside the iconic monument, built to honour Italy's unification.

The site is positioned between the Piazza Venezia and Capitoline Hill and holds the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier which includes an eternal flame, built in memory of the fallen soldiers of World War I.

Local authorities prohibit behaviour that damages or disrespects its famous landmarks and police are trying to track down the misbehaving tourists.
