REMOANERS have long argued that a second referendum is necessary — and that their side would win it.
Today, a Sun on Sunday poll shows that idea to be total codswallop.
Voters simply want our politicians to get on with delivering Brexit.
The majority of people have not changed their mind since the referendum. Our poll shows those that have are mostly Remainers who would now vote Leave. Project Fear has never worked, and it is not going to suddenly start working now. The public are wise to it.
Our poll makes it clear that fudging Brexit would unleash serious anger among the electorate. The Government should take notice.
Almost half of voters already reckon that the political classes in Britain are making heavy weather of Brexit, in the vain and misguided belief that they can get the public to change their mind.
Meanwhile, the drop in support for Theresa May in the polls and Ukip’s rise is a further indication of what the public thought of her Chequers proposals.
Millions more will abandon the Tories if Brexit ends up being fudged.
Remoaners and Brussels have done their best since the Leave vote to make us think we made a terrible mistake and that the cards are stacked in the EU’s favour.
Well, today’s poll is clear. We didn’t and they’re not.

DEFENCE Secretary Gavin Williamson was right to stand up to France after they tried to bill us £2million for helping them stamp out a jihadi insurrection in Mali.
Mr Williamson reportedly threatened to ground our choppers in retaliation. Good.
The French also reneged on a deal to support a Nato mission in Estonia.
As their closest military ally in Europe, we deserve better.
Otherwise, next time, Mr Williamson will be entitled to say: “Zut alors! No more!”
