What happened at Westminster, was the Parliament car crash incident a terror attack and who’s been arrested?
ARMED police swooped on Westminster on August 14, 2018, after a car crashed into barriers outside the Houses of Parliament.
Here's what we know about the incident and who's been arrested.

When was the crash outside Parliament?
Cops evacuated the area and one person was arrested following the smash at around 7.40am on August 14, 2018.
Dozens of emergency vehicles were seen swarming around Parliament Square with members of the public ordered to stay clear of the area.
Dramatic footage showed heavily-armed police pointing rifles inside a silver car after it crashed into black barriers outside Parliament.
The area was placed on lockdown with Parliament Square evacuated and dozens of emergency vehicles in attendance.
The Metropolitan police said: "At 0737hrs today, a car was in collision with barriers outside the Houses of Parliament.
"The male driver of the car was detained by officers at the scene.
"A number of pedestrians have been injured."
This is what we know so far...
- A privately-owned silver Ford Fiesta crashed into anti-terror barriers outside the Houses of Parliament at 7.37am mowing down pedestrians and cyclists
- Three people were hurt - including a man and a woman who were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries and have since been discharged
- The 29-year-old driver, a British national who was born abroad, has been arrested on suspicion of terror offences
- He remains in custody at a South London police station and is refusing to cooperate with cops
- The suspect left Birmingham late on Monday night and drove around London for several hours before the rampage
- Terror cops have carried raids at two addresses in Birmingham and one in Nottingham as part of their investigation
- Extra cops will now be stationed at key transport hubs across the country
- Theresa May has praised medics and police for their quick response to the "attack"
Was anyone injured?
Police have said that a number of pedestrians were injured in the crash.
Video showed the car ploughing into cyclists.
Witnesses reported seeing a woman sitting in a foil blanket in the road being treated by paramedics.
Cops said nobody sustained life-threatening injuries with three taken to hospital.
They have since been discharged.

Who was responsible?
A man has been arrested on suspicion of terror offences.
The 29-year-old suspect has been named by locals as Salah Khater, a British national, originally from Sudan, who lives above an internet cafe in Sparkhill, Birmingham.
Police said he drove from Birmingham late last night and spent four hours around Tottenham Court Road before the rampage at 7.40am.
Was the incident a terror attack?
Met Police confirmed the suspect - who is not believed to have been armed - is currently being quizzed on suspicion of terror offences at a South London police station.
But cops said he is "not cooperating".
Terror cops carried out raids on three addresses in Birmingham and Nottingham as part of the investigation.
Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu said in a police press conference that officers were now working to establish the motive behind the attack.
He said: "It appears to be a deliberate act. We are treating it as a terrorist incident.
"At this early stage of the investigation no other suspects at the scene have been identified or reported to police."
