Tattoos actually help you find a job and are good for your career, business boffins reveal
Job seekers have a better chance of being hired if they’ve been inked as markings show creativity, according to a new study
TATTOOS could help you in your career, business experts have revealed.
The University of Miami’s study proved job seekers have a better chance of being hired if they’ve been inked.
It found perception has changed so much even a visible tattoo was not linked to individual employment, wages or earnings discrimination.
Professor Michael French believes the markings are not only fashionable, with around 40 per cent of young adults having one, but show expression and creativity.
He said: “In our sample, tattooed individuals were just as likely and in some instances even more likely to gain employment, and do not appear to have a disadvantage in the market.”
Bosses who continue to discriminate against tattooed people may be settling for less qualified applicants, explained lead author Professor French.

The latest findings show that tattoos in the workplace are here to stay.
It is estimated one in five British adults has a tattoo.
Two years ago a study of almost 200 managers in the UK and US also suggested having tattoos can actually increase employment chances where the clientele is younger.
