KICK OFF

The £700 designer trainers with GOLD PADLOCKS that sparked Ben Stokes’ street brawl – and everyone from Lewis Hamilton to Justin Bieber loves them

The Buscemi shoes, also favoured by rappers like 2 Chainz and P Diddy, feature an 18k gold padlock

THESE are the £700 designer trainers that sparked Ben Stokes’ brawl — and they have been worn by celebs like Justin Bieber, P Diddy and Lewis Hamilton.

The England cricket star, 27, was today sensationally cleared of affray after insisting he only brawled with two men in self-defence because they “mocked” a gay couple.

Jurors were told how the gay men “bantered” with the star about his “bad dress sense”, which included his distinctive Buscemi shoes.

Minutes later, Stokes was embroiled in a boozy street fight with Ryan Hale, 27, and fireman Ryan Ali, 28, as he tried to “defend the gay men from abuse”.

The sports star tilted his head back in relief as he was cleared of wrongdoing today, paving the way for a sensational call-up for England’s Third Test with India.

The expensive pair of white leather sneakers, which were shown to the court, are so flash that they include 18 carat gold locks.

But it seems Stokes – who said in court that he gets told “by my teammates that I dress the worst in the team” – took his fashion inspiration from a host of celebs who have been seen in the same pair.

The shoes became a luxury must have after they were name-dropped in 2 Chainz’s track Trap Back in 2014, in which he rhymes “You know that I’m rocking Buscemi” with “I’m as raw as sashimi.”

Despite the ridiculous rhyme, soon celebs such as Bieber and P Diddy were sporting their own pairs on Instagram and in paparazzi shots.

And photos of glamorous singers J Lo and Kelly Rowland have been posted to the brand’s Instagram page.

But the shoes haven’t just been seen on the feet of musicians, as other famous faces such as Orange Is The New Black’s Ruby Rose and F1 racer Lewis Hamilton have been spied in the stylish shoes.

The brand doesn’t just make trainers, they make a range of accessories and shoes – including side boots that have been seen on the likes of Kylie Jenner and Vanessa Hudgens.

The American designer brand Buscemi was started in 2013 by former investment banker Jon Buscemi, who is the cousin of famous actor Steve Buscemi.
