TROUBLED football legend Paul Gascoigne has found love with a blonde divorcee who says she's helping him tackle his demons.
Mum-of-two Sara Lovatt - a glamorous gallery boss - has revealed the two are seeing each other adding: "It's early days and we're having a lot of fun."
The 49-year-old told the : "I was never a fan during his football days but I am now! He's very handsome and really fit and tanned.
"He's Paul to me and just a nice, funny guy who's had a tough time but is coping better than his fans are led to believe."
Mercedes-driving Sara owns the exclusive Antidote Art Gallery in Lutterworth which has exhibited some of the art world’s most renowned figures including Lincoln Townley and Paul Oz.
She has been dating the former Tottenham, Rangers and Lazio ace, 51, for "a few months" and says the star - who has famously battled drink and drug addiction - is the best he has been "for ages."
The loved-up pair are said to have met when Gazza did a meet and greet inside the same venue where Sara was hosting a pop up art event.
She admits they hit it off "straight away" even though she confesses she is not really much of a football fan.
The new couple are said to have gone on regular quiet dates in pubs in and around Lutterworth, which is near both their homes.
Gazza took to social media to announce "he's back" earlier in the year and has posted several selfies saying he's on the mend.
The star has also teamed up with a new manager who is getting his career back on track after setbacks following the sudden death of his father.
Afterwards, Gazza revealed how his dying dad had warned him "you won't be far behind me" as he spoke about beating booze for good.
The popular player has claimed he has managed to resist returning to drink despite the personal tragedy.
He said he last drank before entering rehab on December 2 last year and his late father's words have given him the determination to stay sober.
He said: "I was really close to my dad. I said to him 'dad, you're not going to pass away are you?' He said 'if I do, I do, .....you won't be far behind us'."
Just last month, he admitted he still cries over his Italia 90 heartbreak when he famously blubbed on the pitch after receiving a booking which would have ruled him out of the final.
Gazza made his England debut in 1988 and was capped 57 times. The National Football Museum describes him as 'the most naturally gifted English midfielder of his generation.'
