Who are the Worcester acid attack suspects and what happened in the Home Bargains at Tallow Hill?
SEVEN people have appeared in court over a suspected acid attack on a three-year-old boy and have arrested a sixth suspect.
West Mercia Police say the boy was deliberately targeted and have not commented on a possible motive for the attack. Here's what we know...
Who are the Worcester acid attack suspects?
Seven people were charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm following acid thrown on a boy, 3, on July 21.
The men were named as Adam Cech, 27 and Jan Dudi, 25, from Birmingham, Norbert Pulko 22, and Saied Hussini, 41, from London, and Afghan-national Jabar Paktia, 41, of Wolverhampton.
Also charged was the boy's father, a 39-year-old male who cannot be named for legal reasons.
A 22-year-old woman, named Martina Badiova from Birmingham, was also charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.
At a court hearing on August 28, the father of the toddler who was doused in acid denied conspiring with six others to carry out the assault.
All of the defendants denied a charge of conspiracy to cause GBH with intent.
The defendants spoke with the assistance of four different interpreters, using the Dari, Pashto, Czech and Slovak languages, and were flanked by seven dock officers.
About 30 family and friends of the defendants also packed the public gallery.
Adjourning the case for a preliminary hearing on September 21, Judge Jim Tindal told those in the dock: "By that stage, what I hope to have happened is we'll have identified a potential trial date and a potential trial judge, if not his honour Judge (Robert) Jukes."
All the defendants were remanded into custody to appear back at the same court next month.
In the wake of the incident, Chief Superintendent Mark Travis said: "The family are coming to terms with something that is quite shocking.
"It's a difficult time for them and we need to make sure that while we work through the investigation they are safe and secure and are allowed to deal with the issues that they face."
What happened in Home Bargains?
A substance was thrown towards the three-year-old boy as he sat in his pram during a family Saturday afternoon shopping trip.
The incident occurred at around 2.15pm in Home Bargains on Shrub Hill Retail Park, Tallow Hill, Worcester, on Saturday, July 21.
Witnesses described seeing a woman crying and being comforted by police officers, as another claimed a "skinny white guy" fled the shop after the attack.
The area was quickly surrounded by police and ambulances.
