A MAN has been flown to hospital in London after being stabbed in the street.
Police and air ambulance paramedics were called to the scene just after 4.30pm this afternoon.
An eye-witness said the man had been chased by a gang of thugs in the moments leading up to the attack.
Metropolitan Police confirmed a man had been stabbed and has been taken to hospital.
The incident occurred on Sanders Lane, in Mill Hill, where a police cordon has been put in place.
The man's condition is not yet known. No-one has been arrested in connection with the incident at this stage.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: "Police were called at around 16:30 hours to a stabbing in Sanders Lane, NW7.
"Officers attended along with London's air ambulance and the London Ambulance Service.
"A man was found with stab injuries and was airlifted to an east London hospital. We await an update on his condition."
