Stolen dog reunited with owners FIVE YEARS later after being found wandering the streets of London 130 miles from home

Scampi who was found in North London is now safely back home in Somerset

A DOG has been reunited with his owners almost five years after being stolen when a video of him wandering the streets of London was sent to his owners.

Scampi, a cocker spaniel, was spotted in the capital, almost 130 miles away from his home in Radstock, Somerset.

Scampi's "extremely emotional" owner, Nicola Phillips explained that the pooch, who was unchipped, was stolen in August 2013 after a suspicious looking van was spotted outside his house.

Straight away, Nicola took to Facebook to set up a “Bring Scampi Home” page in the hopes of finding her beloved brown and white spaniel.

Miraculously, after five years of searching, earlier this week she was sent a video of a dog who fit Scampi’s description and who reacted as soon as his name was called wandering around Islington, North London.

Upon finally being reunited with her furry friend Nicola shared her relief.
