He is one of the richest politicians in the UK and has amassed a huge personal fortune through his business ventures.

He was born on November 1, 1966, and grew up in Surrey.
Hunt has been a Conservative Party MP since 2005.
Prior to landing his various political roles he was educated at Oxford University.
He studied at Magdalen College, Oxford, where he graduated with a first-class honours degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics.
During his years at college he was president of the Conservative Association.
Following his studies, Hunt went on to work for a management consultancy firm before making a move to Japan to teach English.
He then later returned to the UK, where he attempted to pursue several business ventures before entering the world of politics.
Aside from his political career, Hunt has set up a charity that works to help HIV-positive children in Africa.
Before being appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer Hunt served in several different political positions.
In 2005 he was appointed Shadow Minister for Disabled People - a role he held until 2007.
Following this, from 2007 to 2010, the politician served as Shadow Culture Secretary, before taking on the role of Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport.
He then went on to spend six years as the Secretary of State for Health from September 2012 to July 2018.
Hunt became Foreign Secretary in 2018 under then-Prime Minister Theresa May but did not keep the job when Boris Johnson became PM in 2019.
Hunt was elected Chair of the Health and Social Care Select Committee in January 2020 with support across all parties.
His next role came when he was appointed to the position of Chancellor of the Exchequer by Liz Truss.
Hunt became Chancellor of the Exchequer on October 14, 2022.
He took over from Kwasi Kwarteng who was sacked after just 38 days — making him the second shortest serving Chancellor in history.
Hunt then retained his role as Chancellor when Rishi Sunak became PM.
Sunak was named the new head of government following Truss' resignation.
Hunt is married to wife Lucia Guo.
The couple first met in Warwick in 2008 and married a year later after Hunt proposed near his parents' Surrey home.
Hunt and Guo wed in a traditional Chinese ceremony in Xi’an, China.
After they married the duo formed a real estate business together called Mare Pond Properties Limited.
The couple have three children - Jack, Anna, and Eleanor.
Their son Jack was born in 2010 and daughter Anna followed two years later.

According to he made his fortune by selling the educational listings publisher that he co-founded in 1991.
Hunt was 25 years old when he launched Hotcourses with his childhood friend Mike Elms.
The company, which provided a database of UK higher education job opportunities for prospective overseas students, was sold in 2017 for over £30million.
Hunt also has an impressive property portfolio and owns seven apartments in Southampton which he rents out.
