THE daughter of an Army sergeant jailed for life for attempting to murder his wife by tampering with her parachute has said she is glad he is locked up.
Emile Cilliers, 38, of the Royal Army Physical Training Corps, was found guilty last month and Cilene Shepherd, 18, says his conviction is justice for everyone who has been hurt by him - including herself.
The teen, the eldest of the six children Cilliers had by three different women, has spoken out about her dad who she says abandoned her and her brother Trevor.
In her interview with , Cilene, 18, said: "He might be my dad, but I wanted that jury to find him guilty as much as anyone else.
"His conviction was justice not only for Victoria, but for everyone who has crossed paths with him and been hurt, me included."
Cilene told how her mum Nicolene Shepherd moved over to the UK from South Africa to be with Cilliers.
But he had been living a double life and had secretly wed another woman, Carly, and had two children with her.
He left and she didn't see her dad for 10 years, then by the time he returned to make contact he had then married Victoria - who he would later try to murder - and had two more kids.
She says her dad is now "paying the price for his actions" and that she would like to get to know her other siblings.
Victoria, 42, miraculously survived a 4,000ft fall after both of her chutes failed.
Cilene also recalled the moment she was told about her dad's arrest.
She said: “I remember thinking, ‘What sort of person does something like that?’ I was shocked but in a weird way I wasn’t surprised.”

The bed-hopping sex addict also chatted to hookers and told one prostitute he wanted to film them having unprotected sex for £100.
Cilene, who was heavily pregnant during the trial, gave birth to daughter Eliana five months ago.
