Several short clips show a woman in a blue hoodie rocking on top of a man — and kneeled over in front of him.

She appears to be naked from the waist down as pedestrians walked through the busy Piccadilly Gardens near the packed Manchester Arndale shopping centre just before midday.

An onlooker said people were left "disgusted" and families were forced to leave the area when the couple refused to stop.

They said: "It was very, very odd. People were tutting and asking them to stop but nobody could get through.

Illegal high: What is Spice?

SPICE is a lab-created drug that can cause severe hallucinations and make users pass out.

Before the ban on psychoactive substances in 2016, it was being sold either over the counter or online under a variety of brand names such as Annihilation and GoCaine.

Users can suffer vomiting, seizures, terrifying hallucinations and severe psychotic episodes after consuming the drug.

It is highly addictive with withdrawal symptoms said to be worse than coming off crack or heroin.

Spice appears particularly rife in Birmingham and Manchester, where a number of users have been hospitalised after taking the drug.

It has been dubbed the "zombie drug" because of the effect it can have on users, who are often seen staggering around.

An  described being on the drug as feeling "brain dead".

"They say people look like zombies, and that’s how it feels."

"It was like they were in a bedroom and nobody could see them. They were totally out of it.

"Everyone knows what that area is like now. You wouldn't walk through it on your own in the dark.

"They were probably high on Spice because they were just not bothered and didn't seem aware of where the were.

The 21-year-old student, who did not give their name, added: "People were having their lunch and had to get up and walk away because they were so disgusted.

"You could see people were just thinking: 'What the f***?'. Some people were shouting: 'Dirty b******s' at them."

Greater Manchester Police confirmed it was investigating reports of an indecent exposure.

No arrests have been made and enquiries into the full circumstances around the incident are ongoing.

The synthetic drug Spice has ravaged parts of the UK.

Formerly a so-called "legal high", Spice was outlawed in 2016 over its highly addictive quality and health impact.

Users can suffer vomiting, seizures, terrifying hallucinations and severe psychotic episodes after consuming the drug.

It is highly addictive with withdrawal symptoms said to be worse than coming off crack or heroin.
