BEE Gees icon Barry Gibb paid tribute to his brothers yesterday after being knighted by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.
The 71-year-old said he “would not be here” if it weren’t for twins Maurice and Robin, who died in 2003 and 2012 respectively.
He added: “If I spent my whole life writing songs on my own, it would have meant something else.”
As the Bee Gees, the brothers were one of the best-selling bands of all time, with hits including Massachusetts, Night Fever, Stayin Alive, Jive Talkin, How Deep Is Your Love, Words, Tragedy and You Win Again.
Sir Barry was knighted for his services to music and charity.
