Snowflakes protest veterans charity screening of ‘racist’ classic British film Zulu, starring Michael Caine, in Kent

Furious liberals demand the screening, in aid of Armed Forces charity SSAFA, is axed

SNOWFLAKE protesters are trying to force a film festival to cancel a charity screening of Zulu as they say it is racist.

They want the 1964 war epic axed from the event, in aid of Armed Forces charity SSAFA.

Folkestone snowflakes fumed that the film was racist and should be banned from the event

Campaigners whinged in an open letter: “Zulu, with its inaccurate portrayal of historical events and its distortions and racist overtones, could have a negative effect on relationships within the changing and richly diverse communities in Folkestone.”

But locals branded the 28-signature open letter to the Kent town’s mayor Ann Berry “ridiculous”.

One called it “spineless liberals moaning about a 55-year-old film”.

Another blasted it as “idiotic”.

And one said: “The British Empire wasn’t perfect, but it was a lot better than most other nations at the time.”

Zulu — where Michael Caine’s character is told there are “Zulus, thousands of them” — is based on the 1879 Battle of Rorke’s Drift.
