PRINCE William and Kate Middleton have announced that Prince Louis will be christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury next month.
The ceremony will take place at The Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, London, on Monday July 9, Kensington Palace confirmed today.
It will be held by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, who Christened Louis' older brother and sister, George and Charlotte.
Louis, fifth in line to the throne, was born on April 23, 2018, with the full name Louis Arthur Charles.
He was the youngest royal baby until Zara Philips and Mike Tindall announced the birth of their new daughter yesterday.
Louis shares the venue for his christening with his older brother, who had his service there back in 2013.
Princess Charlotte was christened at the church of St Mary Magdalene, near the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk in 2015.
The royals visit on Christmas Day every year and it is where Princess Diana was christened too.
Louis' christening is expected to be a private affair, with no more than 30 guests invited to his siblings' services.
The new godparents and their spouses will also be there, although they have not been announced yet.
