THIS is the adorable moment Prince George was hushed by his young royal cousin as the national anthem was playing during the Trooping the Colour ceremony today.

Savannah Phillips, daughter of Princess Anne's son Peter, kept Prince George in check as they joined the Royals on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

The cute pair stood in front of Prince William, who seemed to give a disapproving look, as the National Anthem was played shortly after the RAF's stunning display.

Savannah waved her arms pretending to conduct the Household Division band as the Queen's official birthday celebrations came to a remarkable close.

Prince George was not the only one who became excited during the display, as Princess Charlotte clapped and cheered during the flypast - but she later appeared to become tearful.

At one point Kate Middleton who looked elegant in her blue dress, crouched beside her in a bid to calm down the young princess.

Savannah looked pretty in her pink floral dress as she cheered and clapped along with cousin Princess Charlotte, who wore a delightful blue frock.

Historic jets were among the 23 aircrafts which took part in the display, leaving the Red Arrows as the finale.

Kate Middleton and her daughter complimented each other, the Queen and the Duchess of Cornwall wearing different shades of blue.

Meghan who experienced the event for the first time joined the royals on the balcony, during the celebration of the Queen's official birthday.

Meghan and Prince Harry looked every inch in love as the newlyweds gazed into each others eyes during the Trooping the Colour ceremony.

Trooping the Colour is a ceremonial spectacle that brings together prestigious regiments and the families of the serving men and women in celebration of the monarch's official birthday.

Stands lining Horse Guards were filled with the wives, girlfriends and parents of the servicemen who when not performing ceremonial duties are fighting soldiers.

The Duke of Edinburgh, who celebrates his 97th birthday on Sunday, has retired from official public duties and did not attend.
