Boy, 14, charged over seven moped muggings in one hour spree around North London
A TEENAGE boy has been charged over seven moped muggings in one hour around North London last week.
Cops say they found 13 mobile phones in the 14-year-old from Tottenham's possession.
He is accused of carrying out the robberies last Thursday while riding pillion on a moped.
A series of robberies took place between 1.15pm and 2.15pm in Hornsey, Crouch End and Muswell Hill, police said.
The teen will appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court today, charged with seven counts of robbery.
A Metropolitan Police statement said nine of the 13 mobile phones recovered have been identified and already returned to their owners.
It comes as a man stabbed with a zombie knife in a daylight robbery yesterday said he doesn't feel safe in the country anymore.
The latest figures show there are 60 moped attacks a day in London and violent crime went up by more than 50 per cent last year in some parts of the country.
