HUMBLE HOLMES
SHERLOCK star Benedict Cumberbatch insisted “I’m no hero” after saving a Deliveroo biker who was being mugged.
The Hollywood actor waded in to stop the battering by four thugs near the TV sleuth’s Baker Street HQ in London.
But he told The Sun after an appearance at the Hay Literary Festival: “I’m no hero. There are real-life heroes out there and I’m not one of them.”
Benedict’s bravery, exclusively revealed in Saturday’s Sun, saw him fight off a gang of four attackers as they beat up a defenceless Deliveroo cyclist.
The 41-year-old leapt from an Uber car shouting at the gang to leave the biker alone.
He dragged the four muggers off their bloodied victim. They tried to punch him but he fended them off before they fled.
