Kim Kardashian set to meet Donald Trump to convince him to free jailed drug rap great-gran Alice Johnson

KIM Kardashian is to meet Donald Trump today in a bid to free a great-gran jailed for a drug offence.

The reality star will first sit down with Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner before her talk with the President at the White House.

She is lobbying for the release of 62-year-old Alice Johnson who is serving a life sentence in Alabama for a first-time drug rap.

Kim, 37, was first made aware of her case on Twitter and has been campaigning to have her pardoned.

Her Trump-supporting husband Kanye — among the first celebs to congratulate the new President after his 2016 election win — will not attend.

According to celeb news site , Kim and her lawyer will visit today – and TV cameras for her show Keeping Up With The Kardashians will not be present.

Trump is said to be in favour of waiving Mrs Johnson’s sentence after the move was backed by daughter Ivanka.

Her husband Jared is also prioritising prison reform in is role as a top White House adviser.

He backs greater job training and drug treatment programmes in prisons and early release for non-violent prisoners to serve the remainder of their sentences at home.

Great-grandmonther Mrs Johnson was jailed in 1997 on money laundering and drug conspiracy charges.

Despite it being her first offence, she was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

A petition calling for her release has gathered more than 260,000 signatures.

Kim’s visit comes after spending the Memorial Day weekend with her family in Wyoming.

She shared an adorable picture of her baby daughter Chicago captioned, “My baby Chi”.
