Tennis legend Boris Becker splits from model wife Lilly after nine years of marriage as couple remove their wedding rings
TENNIS legend Boris Becker has split from his model wife Lilly after nine years of marriage.
The couple’s separation was confirmed as they were pictured after removing their wedding rings.
Their lawyer Christian-Oliver Moser said: “The decision after a 13-year-long relationship and nine years of marriage wasn't an easy one.”
Today, 50-year-old Becker was seen at Roland Garros in Paris, while Dutch model Lilly, 41, was pictured at a supermarket in London, wearing a Germany football top.
Pals reportedly said the marriage was in “trouble” last year before three-time Wimbledon winner Becker was made bankrupt.
Lilly had also been spending more time in The Netherlands, local media claim.
She told the in March: “I've had a rough year. At first, I let go completely - in every way.
“Too much drinking, too much smoking, too much going out and not caring. I thought: my life sucks and I'm going to die.
“We did couples' therapy. It was something we never thought we would have to do. It helped. We did an hour a day for five days a week.”
This is the second divorce for German-born Becker, who has a home in Wimbledon.
