COPS are to investigate death threats against Liverpool’s Loris Karius following his Champions League nightmare.
Sick trolls targeted the German keeper after his two blunders gifted Real Madrid the trophy in Kiev on Saturday night.
Ross Moloney tweeted: “I hope your whole f***ing family dies” and “get out of the f***ing club your a waste of oxygen”.
Another twisted troll David Martinez wrote: “Your f***ing sons deserve to die of cancer.”
Karius, 24, threw the ball straight at Karim Benzema for Real Madrid’s first goal.
He then bungled a straightforward catch from Gareth Bale or their third.
He collapsed in tears at the end of the 3-1 defeat and apologised later on Twitter, saying: “I’d just like to turn back the time.”
Liverpool fans rallied to his defence, with one saying: “Anyone who sends hate to Karius can come fight me.”
Merseyside Police said: “Any offences identified will be investigated.”
