Hollywood jetsetter Jodie Foster names Holiday Inn in Slough the best hotel in the world

The A-lister, who has stayed in the most exclusive hotels, has given a humble Holiday Inn this bizarre endorsement

A-LIST actress Jodie Foster has named her favourite hotel in the world . . . the Holiday Inn, Slough.

The Silence of the Lambs star loved the mundane tower block’s “smell of chlorine” and ping-pong table.

She first stayed aged 12 in 1974 when filming Bugsy Malone. Jodie said: “It’s not a pretty place. But I had never had so much fun in my life.

“Because I made movies my whole life I grew up in hotels. There’s the hotel itself, then there is the stepping stone to the culture of the place it is in, which I love.”

The star is plugging Hotel Artemis, her film about a futuristic hospital for criminals in LA.
