What happens after the Royal Wedding ceremony?

After the service, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will enjoy a carriage ride through Windsor.

The newlyweds undertake this journey so royal fans can cheer the couple while they are still dressed in their fine outfits.

Where will the procession go?

Leaving St George's Chapel, Prince Harry and Meghan will be driven along Castle Hill.

They will go along the High Street and into Windsor town centre before returning along the picturesque Long Walk for their reception.

Thousands of spectators will be able to catch a glimpse of the couple as they are driven up the Long Walk.

But some may be able to get a better view from Snow Hill, which is expected to be a popular picnic spot.

Those invited to the couple's reception will wait for them at St George's Hall.
