FAKE Royal Wedding invitations are being sold on eBay for less than £10, raising fears gate-crashers could pose a headache for Royal protection cops.

The convincing reproductions are printed on the same thick, gilded card as the official ones and are personalised with the buyer’s name.

They are being sold by a number of unofficial vendors, who describe them as novelty items.

A source said: “It’s almost inconceivable anyone will get into the wedding with these fake invites as security will be watertight, but someone might try nonetheless.

“That will mean security will have to spend time dealing with them when they could be better used doing something else.”

A description from one listing reads: “To commemorate the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle, we have designed an outstanding reproduction/replica of the original Royal Wedding Invitation, personalised with your details!

“Our Invitations are probably the BEST on ebay and are printed on thick 300gsm Textured English card with an additional gold leaf embossed edging making the invitation look 100% authentic to the original design!

“Each invitation comes complete with a postage envelope with your personalised address details.

“The invite measures approximately A5 (148 x 210mm) in size.

“You will receive a personalised card invitation plus an outer personalised envelope to add to the authenticity!!”

Harry and Meghan sent out their official wedding invites to 600 people in March.

They were printed by firm Barnard and Westwood, who have been making royal invitations since 1985.

They feature the three-featherered badge of the Prince Of Wales in gold ink.

Around 600 people have been invited to the actual service which takes place at St George's Chapel in Windsor on Saturday.

It comes as Meghan's dad ruled himself out of the wedding once and for all, saying he is having heart surgery today.

Thomas, 73, earlier vowed to walk his daughter up the aisle after she begged him to be there - but he's been forced to pull out for a second time.
