THE hilarious moment a man slipped and fell down steps into the River Thames has been caught on video.
Footage shows James Moss take his shirt off before skidding and slipping down several stone steps and landing with a splash in central London.
In the clip, the cameraman says: "Here we are at the Thames, and all of a sudden... Oh hang on a minute."
Spotting the pair heading down the slick steps at London's Embankment to the river he says: "What's going on here? There's two blokes going in..."
But before he can finish his sentence, James skids and then slips on the steps, before flopping onto his front and falling 12 steps down into the river - landing with a splash.
While his mate doubles over laughing, the bloke quickly stands up and begins to climb back up the steps soaking wet in the London sunshine and the man behind the camera is in hysterics.
Red-faced James, who was wearing a Seattle Seahawks NFL jersey later took to Twitter to say while his pride was "dented" he was "all good" after the fall.
He said: "Was just meant to be a look, they are gonna go for a swimming having a laugh vid and then the slip!"
The embarrassed NFL fan added that the steps were "like ice."
The clip has gone viral with almost 10,000 retweets and nearly 18,000 likes on Twitter.
