WINDSOR WORRY

Terror cops pounce on cancer survivor during treasure hunt over Royal Wedding ‘bomb threat’

TERROR cops swooped on a cancer survivor after her charity treasure hunt sparked a Royal Wedding bomb alert.

Zoe Brooker, 31, was stunned when she was told officers feared she may have planted a device at Windsor Castle.

But, in fact, she and fellow Cancer Research UK fund-raisers had only been near the grounds trying to count bricks for a clue in a treasure hunt devised by her dad.

But someone reported them acting suspiciously and Zoe, from Maidenhead, Berks, was visited and phoned by police officers checking up on her.

She said “They thought I was planting a device at Windsor Castle.”

It was only when a fellow treasure hunter gave the same explanation that cops relented.
